Nace en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Licenciada en Artes Visuales (UMSA), Posgrado en Gestión Cultural y Comunicación (FLACSO). En el 2018 realiza el Programa de Cine del Departamento de Artes (UTDT) y actualmente es maestranda en Historia del Arte Argentino y Latinoamericano (IDAES/UNSAM). 

 

Desde el 2014 trabaja generando cruces entre disciplinas visuales y dispositivos ópticos. En sus últimas obras se ha centrado en la utilización de herramientas audiovisuales, tecnológicas (digitales/analógicas). Recientemente, tras realizar un seminario en Realidad Aumentada, Virtual y Mixta en la Universidad Técnica de Berlín, ha comenzado a volcar sus investigaciones a dichas tecnologías de la imagen. 

Ha expuesto en CCK, Munar, Hilo Galería, Nova Artspace (Weimar), Montana Crux (Berlín), 1085 Gallery (San Diego) y Hermes Artes Visuais (São Paulo), entre otros. A lo largo de su carrera ha sido beneficiada dos veces por el Régimen de Mecenazgo Cultural del GCBA, y ha obtenido en tres oportunidades la Beca Creación Grupal de Fondo Nacional de las Artes. 

 

Asimismo, Mercedes se desarrolla en el ámbito laboral como productora y gestora cultural. Ha coordinado el espacio interdisciplinario Dajaus curando muestras y gestionando residencias y becas para diversos artistas a nivel nacional e internacional. También ha colaborado en distintos proyectos de gestión independientes de artes visuales y educativos. Desde el 2015 trabaja en la Escuela de Arte y Patrimonio de la UNSAM y co-fundó Híbrida, Laboratorio de Video Expandido.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Bachelor in Visual Arts (UMSA), Postgraduate in Cultural Management and Communication (FLACSO). In 2018 she made the Film Program of the Arts Department (UTDT) and is currently a master in History of Argentine and Latin American Art (IDAES / UNSAM).

 

Since 2014, she has been working to create crossings between visual disciplines and optical devices. In his latest works, she has focused on the use of audiovisual technological (digital / analog). Recently, after holding a seminar on Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality at the Technical University of Berlin, she has begun to focus her research on these image-technologies. Her work has been exhibited at CCK, Munar, Hilo Galería, Nova Artspace (Weimar), Montana Crux (Berlin), 1085 Gallery (San Diego) and Hermes Artes Visuais (São Paulo), among others. She has twice benefited from the GCBA's Cultural Patronage Regime, and has obtained the Group Creation Scholarship from the National Fund for the Arts on three occasions.

 

Likewise, Mercedes develops in the workplace as a producer and cultural manager. She has coordinated Dajaus, an interdisciplinary space, curating exhibitions and managing residencies and scholarships for national and international artists. She has also collaborated in different independent visual and educational arts management projects.

Since 2015 she works in the School of Art and Heritage (UNSAM) and co-founded Híbrida, Expanded Video Laboratory.
